Program Alumnus

Osama Nezar Kashlan was born overseas in Kuwait, and moved to the United States in 1997 when he was 12 years old. He graduated high school from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in 2002, and decided to attend Georgia Tech to study chemical engineering. While volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital as a college student, his interest in medicine grew. He applied to medical school and was accepted to Emory University. By the end of his third year of medical school, he knew he wanted to become a neurosurgeon. He is currently a neurosurgery resident at the University of Michigan.

Current Program Participant

Clarisse Tallah graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2010 with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. Clarisse enjoys working on clinical research and has worked on four different projects during her undergraduate years, two of which are currently pending publication. She is currently working on a project entitled, " Bone Morphogenetic Protein-Related Complications in Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion Procedures" which is an ongoing project from her undergraduate work. Clarisse is currently pursuing medical school and hopes to start school in August 2011.
